Deodorant Discoveries
Friday, May 2nd, 2008
Over the past couple of years, I’ve noticed weird chalky looking streaks on my shirts after they come out of the dryer. It usually happens on favorite t-shirts, and the stains resemble tan talc or chalk. It is really irritating.
I’ve always written off the stains as some strange combo of my body sweat and my deodorant not getting along chemically, but it turns out, according to many user forums, that it is just the deodorant combined with the aluminum-based antiperspirants. These bastards stain, even without sweating. One in particular is the Right Guard Sport Fresh scent deodorant. This is truly the deodorant of the Axis of Evil.
Example…A couple weeks ago I decided to try out a new t-shirt that I had just bought. I had the shirt on for about 10 minutes, just sitting in the house, and then I took if off and put on another shirt. A few days later, I went to try on the new shirt and there were those dumb ass streak stains on it in 4 different spots.

Now, I know that I am truly an idiot at times, but this is really up there in the top 10 things that I have should have known. Thank the lord almighty for Google. I’d be a lost pup without it.
Since then, I’ve switched to Degree For Men, and haven’t had any problems. I even got some herbal deodorant lined up too. It was actually hard to find any deodorants that were free of antiperspirants. What a dork I am, and how many ruined shirts have been wasted to figure this all out…Wonk, wonk.

Kenzinger
Friday, April 18th, 2008Philadelphia Brewing Company’s Kenzinger has become one of my new faves as of late. It’s a great warm weather beer because it’s crisp & bold, yet sensibly strong enough at 4.5%. I just bought a case of it for $28, and I’ve seen it on tap for $3 a pint. I’m looking forward to trying the rest of the Philadelphia Brewing Company’s new selection, as well as taking a tour since I can easily stumble home from it, being in the 19125.
The design of the Kenzinger reminds me of some kind of comic book mixed with fireworks packaging. Pretty cool!
Below, Santucci checks out a brand new case of Kenzinger.
Behold! Take a firm grasp of the Kenzinger!
